I've never had my Black Series Princess Leia in Boussh Disguise figure out of its original packaging for the simple reason that for display purposes I use either my vintage Kenner Leia in Boussh Disguise or I use my Saga Collection Boussh figure. The latter is a great display figure since it has a removable thermal detonator which can be attached to the palm of Leia's hand for the scene in which she bargains with Jabba the Hutt over the bounty that it to be paid for her delivering the prisoner Chewbacca in to his hands.

As for this Black Series Boussh bounty hunter figure itself, the level of detail is fairly superb including most of the paintwork. The flick of hair which falls over Leia's brow is an especially nice touch to recreate the scene when she is leaning over Han Solo just after his release from the carbonite block. The only thing that really lets down this Black Series Princess Leia in Boussh Disguise action figure is that the thermal detonator is permanently attached to Leia's left hand meaning that if you want to create any other scene than the thermal detonator one then you have to hide her hand out of the way. All in all though this figure is a fabulous rendition of one of the main characters from the Star Wars movies and, since representations of Leia's face have historically been pretty inaccurate across many of the Star Wars toy lines, that's all the more reason to give this particular Boussh figure the thumbs up.

Whilst everything that I've said so far about this Black Series Leia figure is true, it is so only up until a point. On my copy of the figure when you zoom in close on Leia's face there are some pretty glaring faults in the paintwork which seem so perfect to the naked eye. Part of Leia's eyeliner is missing on her right eye and some of the eyeliner paint has splashed over her face. Its the eyes which are a real disappointment though as her eyeballs are distinctly off centre and blotchy. Perhaps I am being overly critical here though since to casual inspection this is still a really good example of an action figure to represent Leia disguised as the bounty hunter Boussh.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
