Kenner Amanaman Last 17 Action Figure: Overview

The Kenner Last 17 Amanaman action figure is the most improbable looking of all the Star Wars aliens from the original vintage action figures in my opinion. First off Amanaman is completely naked. Even Chewbacca has a pouch and bandolier. Droopy McCool and Sy Snootles have the decency to put on shorts and skirts. Max Rebo uses his piano to keep his modesty. Joh Yowza is naked also but furry at least. Amanaman's nakedness is a bit in-your-face though. The dress code at Jabba's Palace seems quite liberal. It could be of course that the heroes turn up on dress down Friday (even the Rancor Keeper can't be bothered to put a shirt on; if he had there may have even been a handkerchief in his pocket to wipe away the tears).

Anyway, the Kenner Last 17 Amanaman is a striking looking figure; a lanky biped gecko-ish creature with Mr Tickle arms and garish green and yellow skin with a penchant for carrying around the bones of his latest meal on his staff.

Kenner Amanaman Last 17 Action Figure: Staff Accessory.

For the above photos I had to use the accessories which come with the Power of the Jedi Amanaman figure as stand-ins since at the time I didn't have the original Kenner Amanaman staff. More recently I was lucky enough to pick up the top half of an Amanaman Last 17 staff in a job lot although I still don't own a complete one.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
