he Kenner Last 17 Barada figure is one of my more recent Vintage Star Wars acquisitions and not one that I really prioritised as I already had both versions of the Vintage Collection Kithaba Skiff Guard figure which are really superb. In fact, I have to admit that I never really rated Barada very highly amongst the Last 17 figures. The mould and detail on him all appear a little bit rough and ready, especially when compared to the superb detailing on many other Return of the Jedi action figures from Jabba's Palace. For instance the detailing on Squid Face is marvelous, as is the posture of the Weequay figure and Kenner also went the extra mile with other figures including the pop-up lightsaber mechanism for R2-D2, the flappy opening and closing mouth of EV-9D9 and even the skeletal accessory for Amanaman. By comparison the designers just don't feel like they went that extra mile when they were putting Barada together. He's still nice to own and if you look at the detail on Barada's right hand fingers they are a distinct improvement over prevous skiff guard figures but I was (nonetheless) never chomping at the bit to get him. I can't actually remember being that enthusiastic over the Last 17 Barada which I owned as a child either.

My Barada figure does have a little bit of paint loss on his feet, backpack and a few other places and is also not perfectly stiff limbed but he's still a nice addition to my Last 17 figures.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
