This Return of the Jedi Han Solo in Trench Coat figure was one of the few Han Solo action figures which Kenner got right in my opinion. The 1977 version of Han looked anorexic with a wobbly head (whether small or large-headed version), the Bespin Han Solo figure suffered from chronic paint loss and the Han Solo in Carbonite Last 17 action figure looked like he had thyroid problems. The Return of the Jedi Han Solo in trench coat figure, however, had its proportions more or less right and didn't suffer too badly from paint loss. The trench coat itself was a fairly nice touch and fitted well. In fact, this is probably my favourite vintage iteration of Han Solo and it still displays well with much more recent figures (see for instance the 30th Anniversary Endor Leia and R2-D2 in the banner photo).

One copy of the Han Solo figure I own had really bad staining to the trench coat when I got him. This was mostly fixed by three days left in a solution of water and Vanish Gold. Most of the staining just lifted out of the trench coat and I simply replaced the water and added a little more powder every time the water got yellow.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
