Han Solo (Sand Storm) Action Figure: Overview

Han Solo Sand Storm Figure Legacy Collection with the Falcon

The Legacy Collection Han Solo Sand Storm figure comes with a blaster, goggles and a scarf and is a pretty good representation of him from this deleted scene from The Return of the Jedi.

Han is accompanied by Leia through the sand storm and the conversation and context is pretty much continuing the theme of Han regaining his eye sight as he recovers from the Carbon Freeze. This had already really been covered when Han takes a shot at the Sarlaac tentacle to free Lando's leg when the banter had been all about whether Han could see well enough to take the shot.

When Han and Luke say goodbye to each other under the Falcon in this scene and then take off in their ships and go their separate ways this gives us a little echo of the departure from Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back when the goodbyes seem to go on for ever. As such Lucas was probably wise to cut this scene from The Return of the Jedi as it doesn't add anything and there are goodbyes given between the two as we cut to the scene where the Falcon and Luke's X-Wing Fighter take off in different directions from Tatooine.

You can see this deleted sand storm scene on You Tube here.

I've recreated the scene in which Han and Luke shake hands goodbye next to the Millennium Falcon's landing ramp.

See also, the Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca Sand Storm figures from the Legacy Collection. We had to wait until the Vintage Collection before we got sand storm figures for Lando and Leia in order to complete the scene and I don't have these figures as yet.

Other Legacy Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
