This is a great mould of a Death Star Droid action figure and is testimony to the fact that by the late 1990s the Power of the Force Range of Star Wars action figures had really started to get its act together.

The Mouse Droid figure which comes with the Death Star Droid is a nice addition but one of the less functional of the Mouse Droids available and doesn't have working wheels. That said it is much more to scale than the Mouse Droid from the Death Star Accessory Set which did come on wheels.

We only see this black Death Star Droid for a fleeting moment in A New Hope when Han and Luke (disguised as Stormtroopers) are escorting their prisoner Chewie in to the lift. We see considerably more of the gold coloured RA-7 Death Star Droid aboard the Jawa's Sandcrawler on Tatooine.

One of my favorite things about this bronzy-black death Star Droid action figure is that when the paint gets a few scuffs on it there is a silver layer underneath which only serves to make him look more rather than less realistic.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
