Dr Ezavan (Cantina Showdown) Action Figure: Overview

Dr Ezavan Figure Cantina Showdown portrait Dr Ezavan Figure Cantina Showdown closeup

This early iteration of a Dr Ezavan action figure has the typical Power of the Force Cantina figure banana legs. He's not the best likeness of Ezavan and looks rather like an epileptic, rabid hamster. This Ezavan is a nice figure to own purely for his sheer deformity and in terms of ugliness he's up there with the Power of the Jedi Bespin Guard from the Carbon Freezing Chamber playset.

This Dr Ezavan action figure, as well as being ugly, bares absolutely no resemblance to the Dr Ezavan of the film. We have to wait until the Vintage Collection Ezavan figure for a good likeness and even the 2004 Original Trilogy version of Ezavan looks nothing like.

The bend in Ezavan's elbows is quite useful for leaning him over the Cantina bar in the Mos Eisley Cantina Diorama.

Another failed version of Dr Ezavan was in the Original Trilogy Collection Screen Scene three-packs in which he cut a poor figure compared to the Kitik Keed'kak and Wuher that came packed with him, alongside a much sought after straight cantina bar section. This Ezavan action figure looked rather like Frankenstein's monster.

Other Power of the Force Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
