Han Solo (in Carbonite) 1996 Action Figure: Overview

Han Solo Figure in Carbonite 1996 Power of the Force action figure Han Solo Figure in Carbonite 1996 with Leia Boussh Disguise action figure

The Carbonite block for this 1996 Power of the Force Han Solo in Carbonite action figure is much more detailed than the action figure itself (and much more accurate to the film) and shows just what the designers at Hasbro could do when they put their minds to it, even back in 1996. If you look, for instance, at the detailing of Han's hands on the carbonite block you will see that it is far superior to the hands of the action figure itself.

If you look at the accuracy of the shape of the torso on the carbonite block and then look at the muscly torso of the Han Solo action figure it's hard to believe that both are meant to represent the same character.

I still use the Carbonite Block for my main display of Jabba's Palace today and it works very well indeed. The Han Solo in Carbonite action figure clips into the back of the block and arguably he looks better behind it than in front of it.

Han came with a skiff guard blaster for the scene in which he's trying to save Lando from the Sarlaac's tentacle above the Great Pit of Carkoon in The Return of the Jedi.

Other Power of the Force Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
