Princess Leia Organa (Princess Leia Collection Ceremonial) Action Figure: Overview

Luke Skywalker Figure (Princess Leia Collection Ceremonial) side

This is really quite a nicely detailed Power of the Force action figure from the Princess Leia Collection representing Luke Skywalker from the Yavin victory ceremony. The jacket on the Luke Skywalker figure is fairly well designed albeit a bit on the bulky and puffy side. If it had been as tight fitting as Han's waistcoat from the 1999 Power of the Force Han Solo action figure this would have actually been quite a striking and amazing figure. As it is, the Princess Leia Collection Ceremonial Luke Skywalker action figure is well above average for its time and series.

The Luke Skywalker figure was also released individually carded in 1997 with a plastic jacket which fits much better (I don't have this one), but this figure had the large Power of the Force Han Solo style blaster. This Luke Skywalker Princess Leia Collection action figure has a much better proportioned blaster, but unfortunately its moulded to the holster on Luke's waist. It's really swings and roundabouts as to which of the two is the better figure.

If I have to raise complaints about this Ceremonial Luke Skywalker figure I guess you could say that this is an incredibly gormless looking Luke and his jacket does look like it belongs on the dance floor of an early 1980s disco, perhaps with some roller skates.

Other Power of the Force Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
