This Princess Leia Collection Ceremonial action figure really is a fairly good representation of Princess Leia from the victory ceremony on Yavin in A New Hope. The proportions are good, the facial detail is not too bad and for once the toy makers gave this Leia figure some breasts. The soft goods robe also manages to capture a little of the elegance of Leia's outfit.
My only complaint would be that Leia's braided hair does seem improbably long, but I can't actually tell from photos from the movie just how overly long it is. On the action figure the braids are almost down to Leia's ankles and I'm guessing that they should have been at least half as long.

A plastic-robed version of this action figure had been released in 1995 which is nowhere near as nice as this one. On the 1995 version of Leia, however, the braids only go down to just below Leia's shoulder blades which looks much more accurate.
I've been waiting a long time to get hold of the victory ceremony action figures to create the scene as I had a good dozen Rebel Fleet Troopers and a Rebel Ground Crew action figure which I was wanting to use for the audience.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
