The Power of the Jedi version of the K-3PO action figure from The Empire Strikes Back has battle damage to his chest plate suggesting that the invasion of Echo Base is already well under way. The K-3PO figure's accessory is very reminiscent of the scanner Luke uses when on Hoth recon patrol and is also to be found in the Hoth Survival Accessory Set from the Saga Series as well as the Saga Series Han Solo Hoth Rescue.

K-3PO always feels to me like a bit of a convenient character, in that the Rebel Alliance just happened to have a white protocol droid knocking around to match the decor on Hoth. As soon as they leave Hoth we never see him again, probably because K-3PO doesn't match the furnishings on any of their other secret bases. In this sense he is the inverse of the Tauntauns who really don't belong on Hoth due to their tendency to freeze when outdoors and who we also don't see anywhere other than Hoth. It hardly seems credible that the Tauntaun is an indigenous mammal.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
