Hem Dazon Figure (Escape From Mos Eisley) Action Figure: Overview

Hem Dazon figure front view

The Saga Collection Hem Dazon figure follows a small trend with Star Wars Cantina action figures, whereby if we don't see their legs or feet in the film, the action figure is designed with thin bandy legs often fairly wide apart and with claw-like bare feet rather than footwear. The vintage Hammerhead was the first amongst these, followed by the POTF2 Lak Sivrak. The POFT2 Hammerhead (Momaw Nadon) also followed suit. Hem Dezon is a nicely sculpted action figure even though he definitely follows this questionable tradition of Cantina figure design which makes you wonder as to whether the bartender Wuher ever presided over a knobbly-knees contest.

It's a bit of a balancing act to get Hem Dazon to stand up without a figure stand and even then he looks a bit like he'd benefit from a pair of crutches.

The design of the action figure itself is really nice with good detailing and being able to tilt Dazon's head to one side is a very nice touch.

When you think of the first scenes in the Mos Eisley Cantina bar and the Modal Nodes breaking into their first number, Hem Dazon's head popping up has to be one of the first things that is conjured up in your imagination.

Other Saga Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
