The Saga Collection Jedi Versus Sith Battle Pack is a really beautifully designed set based on the Tartakovsky Clone Wars series. This series really isn't my area of expertise so if you want to find out a little background then check out the Jedi Temple Archive here.

Yoda Figure - Jedi Versus Sith Battle Pack

This is the same action figure as Yoda (Padawan Lightsaber Training) - Saga Series, 2003 so far as I can tell. This seems like an odd choice of Yoda figure to include in a battle pack since the Saga Series Yoda is designed primarily for sitting on his hover chair. There are plenty of other Yoda figures designed in dramatic fighting postures which could have been chosen instead.

Unfortunately, the Yoda I have has had his legs glued so there is no lower body articulation.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Figure - Jedi Versus Sith Battle Pack

This is the only Obi-Wan Kenobi figure from The Revenge of the Sith with tan coloured pants rather than beige pants to my knowledge (with the exception of the Obi-Wan which comes with the Boga creature). This Obi-Wan figure has small holes in his boots and in the sides of his shoulders and I suspect these holes allow you to clip on Obi-Wan's armour (which I don't have unfortunately).

General Grievous Figure - Jedi Versus Sith Battle Pack

I'm pretty sure that there are a few identical General Grievous figure's floating about, but I have reviewed this one as a unique figure in its own right since quite a few of the action figures in the Jedi Vs Sith Battle Pack are unique. I suspect this might be the same as the Secret Lightsaber Attack Grievous, or at least very similar.

Unfortunately, the General Grievous figure doesn't stand very well and there are no holes in his feet for a figure stand so he's not a lot of use unless you prop him up against something. The facial detailing on General Grievous is particularly nice.

Anakin Skywalker Figure - Jedi Versus Sith Battle Pack

This is a very niche Anakin Skywalker action figure situated between The Attack of the Clones and The Revenge of the Sith and both anticipating the Clone Wars cartoon series and looking back to the Tartakovsky Clone Wars cartoon. He has his mechanical forearm in place but it is still new enough not to be gloved and he still has his Padawan haircut as opposed to the longer hair he sports in The Revenge of the Sith. the Anakin figure wears a vest which reminds us of the Tartakovsky animated-style Anakin. The rips in his pants are testimony to the fact that Asajj Ventress (as Dooku's apprentice) is a formidable opponent with a lightsaber.

Asajj Ventress Figure - Jedi Versus Sith Battle Pack

This rendition of Asajj Ventress is beautifully ornate in the way that the Saga Series Jedi from the battle of Geonosis tend to be. The ribbons on the Ventress figure's skirt are beautifully done and the holster rests for her curved lightsabers are a nice touch although I can't get her to hold the lightsabers at the same time as resting them in the holsters which would have been a pretty good pose.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
