The Mace Windu's Attack Battalion Battle Pack represents a fairly odd space within the Hasbro canon of Star Wars toys, since Mace and his 187th Legion don't appear in any of the films, and don't seem to appear anywhere other than in the Tartakovsky Clone Wars cartoon series (see Wookieepedia here). It's hard to find a context for these Attack Battalion action figures outside of this cartoon. That said, Mace Windu's Attack Batallion is a fantastic set of action figures and it doesn't take much imagination to find use for them.

Mace Windu's 187th Battalion don't make it in to The Revenge of the Sith probably because Windu is dispatched by Palpatine before Order 66 is executed and thus when all the different legions turn on their Jedi generals we don't encounter them.
The Mace Windu's Attack Batallion battlepack was a Target exclusive in the US and appears to be pretty rare and also looks to be one of the very few instances where all the figures have been missed by the Jedi Business catalogue at the time of writing.
The Clone Trooper Comander figure comes with a tan satchel with three grenades on the strap. You might think that he's carrying his Republic homework in it, but if you turn the satchel over you can see that there is an impression in the satchel which stores a Biker Scout-style blaster. This is a very nice touch indeed.
The Mace Windu action figure that comes with the battle pack has a good sculpt for the face but the articulation is terrible. First off there is no knee articulation and worse the shoulder and elbow articulation looks puppet-like. In fact, the upper body movement makes him look like a string puppet having an epileptic fit. If you keep Mace's cloak on him then the more apparent drawbacks of this figure are well hidden.
The purple Clone Troopers from the Mace Windu's Attack Batallion battlepack are aesthetically excellent. The shoulders are a little on the bulky side which restricts the arm articulation but this is such a minor drawback on what are otherwise such fantastic Clone Trooper action figures that they make other legions look second rate.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
