The Yoda and Emperor action figures from this Skirmish in the Senate Battle Pack are essentially just re-issues of Revenge of the Sith Collection figures. The Senate pod is the real crowning glory of the Skirmish in the Senate Battle Pack and looks really close to what we see in the movie. The only drawback is that we only get one pod to represent the thousands of them in the Republic Senate.

That said, the Skirmish at the Senate Senate Pod is a very flexible accessory which can be used to create scenes from all the Prequel movies and to seat a whole range of senators. The rails around the edge of the Senate Pod are a really nice touch as you can have Yoda hanging from them before he falls.
As a title for the battle pack, 'Skirmish in the Senate' doesn't really do justice to the gravitas of this confrontation; a skirmish being a somewhat trivial battle, whereas this is a duel which decides the fate of the entire Galaxy.
I've never been particularly keen on this rendition of the Emperor. He looks a little bit too much like the Palpatine of The Return of the Jedi. Whereas the Palpatine of the Prequel Trilogy has a penchant for finery and elaborate robes, this figure looks like he's wearing rags. It is of course a transitional point for Palpatine between his former peacock self and his now deformed, but nonetheless all-powerful self. This figure though takes us just a little bit too far down the path of Palpatine ceasing to care about finery.
I only have one of the two correct Shock Troopers action figures for the Skirmish in the Senate Battle Pack at present, which is the one at the front of the two.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
