With his little ginger moustache and grey officer's uniform the Fan's Choice Saga Series Admiral Ozzel action figure makes a great addition to the vintage Darth Vader's Star Destroyer playset. For one thing, the articulation in the Executor Assault Ozzel's arm allows you to re-create the iconic moment from The Empire Strikes Back when Darth Vader ruthlessly force chokes him to death.

Poor Admiral Ozzel! Did he really alert the Rebel Alliance to the presence of the Imperial fleet by coming out of hyperspace too close to the Hoth system? I'm afraid not, they knew the Empire was coming as soon as they identified the Imperial probe droid down on the planet surface. Ozzel really did get a rough deal from Darth Vader and this should alert us to question Vader's judgement. He knows (presumably by using the Force) that the Rebels are on Hoth, but he is completely wrong about Ozzel. Even if Admiral Ozzel had crept out of light speed further away from the system, the Rebels would have still known that the Empire had found their secret base and have started the evacuation.

Unfortunately, the same paint has been used for the Executor Assault Admiral Ozzel's pupils as for his eyebrows and mustache and even worse a bit of this paint has splashed over on to his face on the copy I have.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
