Many of the Saga Series Jedi action figures come with quite fixed articulation, but are beautifully designed as display peices in mid battle. This Anakin Skywalker Outland Peasant figure has the fixed articulation, but not the beautiful design. Whilst Anakin is pretty much frozen in a moment of fighting action, this is not what he is doing in this part of the film. He is supposed to be secretly travelling from Coruscant to Naboo with Padmé to keep her from harm. He is supposed to be falling in love and riding bulbous grazing animals across the plains of Naboo. As such, having him transfixed as he is with no knee or elbow articulation is a little bit poor.

Anakin's lightsaber is even fixed in his hand as with the vintage Kenner figures (the one redeeming feature perhaps being that his lightsaber is at least retractable like the vintage figures). Having the lightsaber fixed also prevents this figure being of much use for representing earlier scenes in the movie such as the Zam Wesell chase in which Anakin loses his lightsaber and has it returned to him by Obi-Wan. This was the wrong Star Wars action figure to use to experiment with bringing back the nostalgia of the retractable lightsaber.
The flip-screen luggage accessory is quite novel, although the lid only stays shut on one of the two of these that I have. The luggage also has a magnet on the front to hold his blaster; albeit he isn't shown as carrying a blaster in the film. Anakin's hand is also magnetised to hold the blaster, although it hangs quite loosely which makes him look like his holding it with faint disdain rather than about to shoot it at anyone.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
