The Saga Series Clone Trooper Captain figure is not a bad action figure and comes with both a nicely detailed blaster rifle and a tripod cannon with missile. The Clone Trooper Captain also comes with a figure stand which is one of the fairly numerous Geonosian landscape figure stands which came out during the Saga Series line of Star Wars action figures. This one is little more than a rock but it does allow the clone trooper to be posed quite dramatically and in a way which makes him look like he's advancing on the Droid army.

The tripod cannon creates a link with the second movie of the original trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back, in which we first saw a tripod laser cannon being set up by an Imperial Stormtrooper in Hoth Battle Gear during the invasion of Echo base. It's a nice parallel to create between The Empire Strikes Back and The Attack of the Clones (the second move in the prequel trilogy); especially so since both movies introduce us to new troopers (which gives the parallel an evolutions feel) and, since the toy lines for both movies gave us a tripod cannon, it creates a parallel between the vintage and modern Star Wars collectibles as well.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
