Janus Greejatus (Death Star Procession) Action Figure: Overview

Janus Greejatus Figure

The Saga Series Janus Greejatus action figure has a very nicely detailed face which at once suggests a dignitary who is officious, tight-lipped, self-serving and corrupt. As the name suggests, Janus looks the part of a two-faced schemer who would happily fill his own pockets whilst doing Palpatine's bidding. Unfortunately, the Death Star Procession figure's arms have a habit of coming off and the plastic sleeves which slots into the shoulder joints seem to be slightly prone to ripping. The sculpting of Janus's hands and gloves is tremendous.

My main complaint would be that the Janus Greejatus character in The Return of the Jedi had dark rims around his eyes suggestive of his having turned to the dark side. The Janus Greejatus action figure's face, whilst being sallow, doesn't have this feature.

The Saga Series Janus Greejatus's entwined fingers and posture are highly reminiscent of the contemplative Palpatine Supreme Chancellor - Saga Series, 2002 action figure, which creates a nice echo between Episodes II and VI.

Other Saga Series Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
