This Saga Series Luke Skywalker Bespin Duel action figure is lent superb play and display value due to the range of accessories which come along with him, meaning that you can place him before, during or after the duel with Vader on Cloud City. From arriving on Bespin with his blaster out, to fighting Vader with his lightsaber, to losing his hand and and then falling, and then even having his hand fixed up by a 2-1B Medical Droid. All in all this is a very well thought out rendition of Luke Skywalker in Bespin fatigues from the Saga Series and cleverly takes us though a whole sequence of events towards the end of The Empire Strikes Back.

The weathervane requires a shiny metal surface to stick to and then it will hold Luke's weight quite well. I forgot to remove Luke's hand for this photo so I had to edit it out.
To make any sort of room for a medical bay in the Power of the Force Millennium Falcon I had to take out the chess set and replace it with a Jedi Council chair. The overall effect isn't too bad considering what I was working with.
The medical bay photo shows just what good effects that you can get by blending merchandise from various series. The picture shows a Saga Series Luke Skywalker (Bespin Duel) figure with a vintage 2-1B Medical Droid and repro accessory. The Luke figure is sat on an Attack of the Clones Jedi Council chair and they are inside a Power of the Force 2 Millennium Falcon. No editing was needed except for a crop and a resize.
See my article, Luke Skywalker and the World Turned Upside-Down.
This Luke Skywalker Bespin Duel figure came in quite a number of variations. Firstly, there were three in the Saga Series - hand attached by peg, hand attached by clean magnet and hand attached by bloody magnet (see Jedi Business here). Secondly, there was a Power of the Jedi version of the figure with a clean (non-bloody face) and clean Bespin fatigues. (See Jedi Business here).
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
