The head of this Saga Series R2-D2 action figure doesn't turn which is unfortunate and makes him a little bit of a poor sentry. I seem to remember that during this scene in The Attack of the Clones just about the only thing moving in the room was R2-D2's flashlight as he turned his head to sweep the room. So in a movie scene where everything is static except for R2-D2's head, we get an action figure which is the only R2-D2 release so far as I can remember where the head doesn't turn.
Find R2-D2 (Coruscant Sentry) action figure on eBay
I do love the electronics with this The Attack of the Clones R2-D2 Coruscant Sentry figure which make his eye light up and he also emits a variety of sounds some of which sound more or less authentic to those made by the astromech droid we all know and love.
Packed with the Saga Series R2-D2 Coruscant Sentry action figure are two Kouhuns. These are the slithering little posionous and prehistoric-looking creatures which the bounty hunter Zam Wesell uses in her attempt to assassinate Padmé Amidala. The Kouhuns are delivered to Padmé's window by the assassin droid ASN 1-2-1 which comes with the Obi-Wan Kenobi Coruscant Chase action figure.
It's a really nice touch to have these creatures but they are incredibly small and flat and very easy to misplace. So I'd suggest keeping your Kouhuns in a figure bag if you don't want to lose them.
I can't help wondering whether LucasFilm were having a little joke to themselves having Padmé's bedroom chamber invaded by a pair of Kouhuns as some sort of pun on a pair of kahunas (i.e. testicles). This would turn the episode into a very symbolic rape scene, especially with Anakin slashing up the aforementioned testicles with his rather phallic lightsaber.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
