For a background character, the 30th Anniversary Tycho Celchu looks like a bit of a dashing hero of the skies of the sort who always comes back safely from his mission with tales of 'daring-doo' after a couple of dog fights with Imperial Tie Fighters, a few narrow escapes and so forth. There's none of the brow-beaten and exhausted underdog feeling about him that you get from the Rebel pilots who attacked the first Death Star. Tycho Celchu definitetly has the feel of a flying ace who is casually skillful and almost bullet-proof.

Celchu's uniform is incredibly nicely detailed and painted right down to the Rebel insignia on his shoulders. The helmet is also nicely done (I don't have the skull cap which fits under it).
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles and toys shown on this website are from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
