Most renditions of the A-Wing Fighters released have been in shades of red. I have the 2003 Saga Series exclusive green one however, which came with Green Leader Arvel Crynyd. I don't have the action figure unfortunately but I love the A-Wing Fighter with its distinctive insignia on the fins and Rebel Alliance insignia either side of the cockpit. Arvel Crynyd was also released as a Power of the Force B-Wing Pilot which isn't much good for this ship so I tend to use the 30th Anniversary Collection A-Wing Pilot Tycho Celchu, or just put a Power of the Force A-Wing Pilot in the cockpit.

This green A-Wing Fighter vehicle is a lovely sleek vehicle and although early Rebel fighters such as the X-Wing Fighter and Y-Wing Fighter had been tough acts to follow, this Rebel Alliance fighter really cuts the mustard.
Since it's fairly unlikely at present that I'll pick up too many more A-Wing Fighters, here's a quick run down of some others that are out there.
With the vintage Last 17 A-Wing Pilot only being released at the very end of the figure line, we never had an A-Wing Fighter ship to go with him. The first A-Wing released came out with the Droids series of toys along with a Last 17 pilot released on a Droids card back. We didn't have to wait particularly long but it was still after the The Return of the Jedi line had ended.
Our next chance to own an A-Wing Fighter came with the more ubiquitous release of the Power of the Force A-Wing Fighter in maroon which came with the typically bulky Power of the Force pilot. The ship itself though was really good, a lovely sleek rendition of the Rebel Alliance's latest addition to their star fighter squadrons.
There's also a 2008 Legacy Collection red A-Wing Fighter which comes with a much more detailed pilot figure. There's not much to choose between the last three A-Wings. The first Droids one though does somehow look like a more primitive design and is a bright primary red, although it doesn't look like too much of a cartoon-ish design. Personally I feel the green Saga Series A-Wing Fighter stands out as amongst the best as it's such a rich military shade which just makes it look that bit smarter.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
