This bluey grey Power of the Force Imperial Tie Fighter more than adequately does the job if you don't have vintage Tie Fighters, and it doesn't take up anywhere near so much room as the magnificent large-winged 30th Anniversary Tie Fighters. It's still easy to find spares at a reasonable price for the Power of the Force rendition of this iconic short-range Imperial fighter as well.

These Power of the Force Tie Fighters are still really quite common and affordable on eBay, but there's nothing intrinsically wrong with them and if you want to get yourself a whole fleet then this particular Imperial Tie Fighter is probably the one you should go for.

The clips on the cockpit hatch do have a bit of a habit of snapping but over all the Tie Fighter was well-made and has stood the test of time. The blue tinge doesn't feel quite so iconic as the white of the other Imperial Tie Fighters that have been released, but this hides any dirt quite well and keeps it looking unblemished.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
