The Kenner One-Man Sail Skiff mini-rig really was quite cool with its green metallic body and bright red sail. The One-Man Sail Skiff captured the feeling of the Battle over the Sarlaac Pit quite beautifully. It also came with a little retractable plank for Luke Skywalker to pull off his lightsaber stunt with, and although this was not on the scale of the actual sail skiff from The Return of the Jedi, it was a great nod towards a favorite movie moment.

The One-Man Sail Skiff did actually make an appearance on Tammuz-an in the Star Wars Droids cartoon in the episode The Pirates and the Prince alongside the Sand Skimmer body rig. In this episode the One-Man Sail Skiff is missing it's sail.

I have a One-Man Sail Skiff mini-rig with a fairly pink sail and I'm unsure whether this is a variant or whether it's become sun bleached over the years. Some parts of the skiff have undergone obvious paintwork customisation which also makes me reluctant ot make any claims for it as a variant.

The main weakness of the Kenner One-Man Sail Skiff mini-rig was that the strut which held up the sail broke very easily, or became too loose to hold the sail up. The clips on either end of this are quite prone to snapping and if they don't snap the strut is also prone to becoming rather loose which leaves you with a skiff without a sail. The clips for the rear fins on the One-Man Sail Skiff were also quite fragile.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
