This is a brilliant looking Vintage Collection Darth Sidious action figure, almost too good for lurking in the Shadows in The Phantom Menace. It's the sort of beautifully dramatic action figure which (had Palpatine had a disfigured face) would have just looked amazing duelling with Yoda on the Senate Pod which came with the Skirmish at the Senate Battle pack. Unfortunately, nor could the figure be used for the duel with Mace Windu and the other Jedi during the Supreme Chancellor's chambers duel since Palpatine was still in his finery at this point in The Revenge of the Sith.

This leaves us with very little display value for this action figure excepting a short, uneventful clandestine meeting with Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace and one with Count Dooku at the end of The Attack of the Clones. This seems like a terrible waste of such an impressive action figure.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used.
