The Kennere Zuckuss action figure is supposedly a protocol droid gone bad. When I was a kid though I could never quite figure out whether Zuckuss was an insectoid in body armour or some sort of droid.

The Zuckuss figure was actually misnamed on the original Kenner cardback and this figure should actually have been 4-LOM. Had the names been the right way around it would have been much more clear that Zuckuss was in fact a protocol droid and not some sort of insectoid creature.

The Kenner Zuckuss action figure was quite stiff and rigid and never seemed to hold his over-sized blaster rifle very well. The thumb on his left hand is quite small which is the source of the difficulty and I've even managed to snap the thumb on one of my Zuckuss action figures whilst trying to get him to keep hold of his rifle.

Zuckuss's bug eyes seem to suffer the worst paint loss on the action figure.

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
