Muftak and Kabe Action Figure: Overview

Muftak and Kabe Figures Power of the Force front

There is something quite equitable about this Muftak and Kabe action figure two pack. By putting a large action figure and a little one in a two pack it makes you feel like you are getting value for money and this has always been a small issue when choosing which Star Wars figures to buy. Somehow you always felt like you were getting less for your money when you bought a vintage Kenner Jawa action figure from the toy shop than you did if you bought a standard 3.75 inch action figure; consequently Jawas are rare and expensive these days, as are complete Ugnaughts.

I had quite a journey to make in order to get both of the Muftak and Kabe action figures. I initially got hold of Muftak in a job lot from eBay, and then both the Kabe and Muftak figures were supposed to arrive in another job lot, but the Kabe was missing. So, I ended up with two Muftaks and no Kabe. Finally I managed to find a Kabe for sale at a good price along with a Wuher complete with bar sections and droid detector. Perhaps in support of my above point, when the initial Kabe failed to arrive I didn't bother to raise a case on eBay, I suppose because she's only a small figure so it didn't feel like a significant enough part of the purchase was missing to make a fuss about it. This is sort of the inverse of choosing full-sized 3.75 inch figures off the toy shop shelves rather than Jawas as you felt you were getting more for your money. By losing out on smaller scale action figures you never felt like you were losing much until you grew up and they became rare and expensive. I still don't have the accessories for either figure.

I'm suitably impressed with the detail on the Kabe action figure and her little mouse face is particularly impressive. The salmon pink waistcoat is removable and nicely detailed; it also gives a subtle clue to Kabe's gender.

Unusually for a Power of the Force action figure Muftak has articulation in one elbow and this works really quite well, especially for putting his arm over the Cantina bar. Muftak's hip articulation is quite good too and you can sit him down quite well if you can find a seat big enough for his substantial behind.

Other Power of the Force Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
