The Bantha with Tusken Raiders Battle Pack comes with a Tusken Raider rider, a Tusken Raider with a masiff and a Tusken Raider mother with child. The complete ensemble is more of an AOTC toy than an A New Hope one and together creates something along the lines of the Tusken Raider camp on Tatooine which Anakin ambushes in the dead of night to save his mother Shmi.
Find Bantha with Tusken Raiders Battle Pack on eBay
I am cheating here as strictly speaking I don't own this 30th Anniversary Collection Bantha with Tusken Raiders Battle Pack. There is also a Power of the Force Bantha with Rider which is essentially the same Bantha but with a more primitive Power of the Force figure and this is the one that I own. I also have the figures from the Battle Pack however including the 30th Anniversary Collection Tusken Raider rider, the Saga Series Tusken Raider with Child and Tusken Raider with massiff. It's admittedly a bit cheeky of me to include this amongst the 30th anniversary Collection figures I'm cataloguing, but what the hell.
The Power of the Force rider is rather firmly attached to the Bantha so I've just stood the 30th Anniversary Collection Tusken Raider rider at the side of the Bantha for illustration purposes. He's very well articulated and you can put him into the classic Tusken Raider rage position from A New Hope quite convincingly.
Whichever of the two Bantha sets you happen to possess the real pleasure of them resides in the recreation of scenes from A New Hope. I can quite happily put the Saga Series Tusken Raider mother and child and the Tusken Raider with massiff to one side and just imagine the Bantha with the rider about to dismount as they appear in the sights of Luke's binoculars as he is about to be attacked by the angry wailing Tusken Raider and given a good old thrashing with a Gaderffii stick.
Note: The Bantha on its own with just a rider has the old 1996 mould figure with the right hand not tooled out. This figure has a flowing beige cloth cloak front and back. The Bantha Battle Pack with mother and child and the Raider with masiff has a more detailed rider with a big brown cloak and far superior mould and articulation.
The Tusken Raider rider that comes with this Battle Pack is a vast improvement over its Power of the Force predecessor and what's more with the extra articulation you can position him in a really convincing emulation of the Tusken Raider wailing and shaking his arms in the air from the scene in A New Hope. The Tusken Raider has really good detailing especially on his bandolier and belt.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
