The proportions, colour and detail of the Power of the Force Tatooine Skiff are incredibly authentic. In fact, I can barely think of another Star Wars ship or vehicle which appears to be such an accurate miniaturisation of the real thing.

The Luke Skywalker which comes with the skiff is boxy and unimpressive, but the skiff itself is arguably a masterpiece of toy making. The moving parts of the Tatooine Skiff are pretty perfunctuary but when you populate the skiff with some more recent figures from The Return of the Jedi it really comes alive. I would highly recommend getting hold of a Legacy Collection Nikto Gunner or a Black Series Vizam action figure as their heavy canons are made perfectly for mounting on the railings of the Power of the Force Tatooine Skiff.

The side railings of the skiff can be folded down and there is also an extendable gang plank which can be pulled out or retracted back under the skiff. Sometimes the skiff does feel to stand a bit shaky on its legs and action figures do have a tendancy to fall off if you don't use the built in figure stand nodes.

Whilst the Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight action figure which comes with the Power of the Force Tatooine Skiff has a very basic mould, it does have moveable wrists, knee articulation and blaster fire carbon scoring on the robotic hand, all of which go some distance towards redeeming it.

Note: If you have the Black Series Vizam, the heavy blaster that comes with him clips perfectly on to the railings of the Tatooine Skiff

Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
