This Hoth snowtrooper action figure has great accuracy to the The Empire Strikes Back Hoth Stormtroopers. In fact, it feels to me truer to the film than the earlier Saga Series Snowtrooper Commander with the plastic cape. According to Jedi Business it was a late addition and technically part of the 30th Anniversary Collection and it is very similar to the battle-damaged 30th Anniversary trooper which followed it except that the Saga Collection figure doesn't have staining on it's breast plate. However, the yellow staining on this figure's boots do make you wonder whether he's been walking in snow that a Tauntaun has urinated on. Personally I would have gone for a colour other than yellow for the staining as it is too reminiscent of the sand stains on the Saga Collection Escape from Mos Eisley Sandtrooper, albeit not so prominent. When we're looking at a Hoth figure we don't particularly want to be reminded of the sand on Tatooine.

This action figure was re-released for the Attack on Hoth Deluxe Battle Pack, Shadows Of The Dark Side, 2010. The figure was also re-released pretty much unchanged for the Vintage Collection Imperial Forces 3-pack (2011) along with a Bossk and IG-88 action figure.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
